ABOUT THE TASK
Ràithe is a film music and sound production company dedicated to crafting immersive sonic experiences that elevate storytelling.
The name ràithe comes from the Gaelic word meaning "season" or "quarter of the year," traditionally used to mark the passing of time in a natural, cyclical rhythm. In choosing this name, the company reflects its deep connection to storytelling that honors change, atmosphere, and emotion - just as the seasons do.
Creating music for a short film involves crafting a soundscape that enhances the storytelling and emotional impact of the visuals. The process starts by understanding the film's tone, themes, and key moments.

We were given the task to sonically design a short film consisting of roughly 5 minutes and 30 seconds. The short film being called 'Spring' by Blender Animation Studios, written and directed by Andy Goralczyk.

In the first meeting with the team we had discussed the films setting, characters, and fairytale style. We agreed That the film had a traditional Scottish Celtic feel to it, and that this would be exciting to develop within the sound and music.

We knew it would be important to draw inspiration from traditional Scottish music and wanted to incorporate the Gaelic language, through voice acting and poetry.
Through the dedicated hard work of everyone in the team, we are excited to showcase our version of 'Spring'. We hope you enjoy.
